Sanjai Mishra
Sanjay Mishra (born 6 October 1963) is an Indian comedian and film actor who is best known for his character of Apple Singh, an "icon" used by ESPN Star Sports during the 1999 Cricket World Cup. He made his film debut in the 1995 Indian musical film Oh Darling! Yeh Hai India!. Then he followed on by Rajkumar (1996) and Satya (1998).He did many commercials and small movie roles before he got the opportunity to stand with Amitabh Bachchan in a Mirinda commercial. On his first day of shoot for TV series Chanakya in 1991. He reportedly took 28 take.Director left him with an assistant director so that he can rehearse for the shoot. His first release was Oh Darling! Ye Hai India! in 1995 in which he played a small part as a harmonium player.He later acted in Satya and Dil Se which helped him in bagging the role of Shukla in Offfice Office .for next few years he acted mainly in serials before moving to films completely.He left Television Serial in 2005 after he got recognition for his role in Bunty Aur Babli and Apna Sapna Money Money. In 2006, he acted in two back to back hit films Golmaal: Fun Unlimited and Dhamaal and gained fame.over the next few years he appeared in small roles in many multistarer big banner films before getiing nationwide popularity for his role as RGV in All the Best: Fun Begins and Phas Gaye Re Obama. His dialogue "Dhondu Just Chill" Gained popularity.recently his latest release Ankhon Dekhi Proved him as a serious actor.His acting was applauded by one and all of the industry.His forthcoming releases are Bhoothnath Returns Kick Dum Laga Ke haisha besides many other. He is very fond of travelling, cooking and listening to different types of music.Mishra's releases like Zameen, Charas and Plan. Though he kidnaps Bipasha Basu in Zameen and acts as a companion of don in Satya, yet he is typecast as a comedian. He makes a mention of himself in other TV serials too like Office Office, Ram Lakhawan and Public Sub Jaanti Hai.
Phas Gaye Re Obama was a serious comedy based on the recession. He is currently directing a movie named Pranaam Walekum, to be released in January 2012, as well as Dhama Choukdhi, which also stars Sanjay Mishra, Dipraj Rana and controversial model Rozlyn Khan.Besides working in Hindi film industry, he has also acted in bhojpuri cinema. His only Bhojpuri release till date is Rang Li Chunariya Tere Naam.
In 2014, he play principal lead in film Ankhon Dekhi directed by Rajat Kapoor.
