Gayathri Raguram
Gayathri Raguram is an Indian film actress and choreographer who works in Tamil language films. Daughter of noted dancer, Raguram, she began acting in the 2002 film Charlie Chaplin and later worked as a choreographer in films.She had insisted on being known by her full name to avoid confusion with another actress, Gayatri Jayaraman, who was also active in the same period.Gayathri quit films in 2005 to relocate to the USA after failing to make a breakthrough as an actress. She made the decision after a potential film with Dhanush got delayed. She returned in 2008 as a choreographer and has since worked in big budget productions including Kanthaswamy (2008), Aadhavan (2008), Ko (2011) and Vaanam (2011). Her work in the satire Tamil Padam was well received.
