Nargis Fakhri

Nargis Fakhri (born October 20, 1979) is an American model and actress. She has appeared on America's Next Top Model and made her Bollywood debut with 2011 film Rockstar. Her performance in the film garnered critical appreciation and earned her a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Fakhri was widely praised for her role of a war correspondent in the 2013 political thriller Madras Cafe. She achieved further success for her leading role in the 2014 romantic comedy Main Tera Hero.
In addition to acting in films, Fakhri is the brand ambassador of Pakistan's network service Mobilink.In 2011, she made her feature film debut in the musical romantic drama Bollywood film, Rockstar, directed by Imtiaz Ali. She played the female lead role of Heer Kaul, the girl who falls in love with Jordan (played by Ranbir Kapoor), who eventually becomes a famous international artist, but their relationship is obstructed by her marriage and a series of health problems. She ends up breaking his heart and dying whilst pregnant with his child. Fakhri's performance received nominations at several award ceremonies, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
Fakhri is currently signed on for a three film contract with Hari Om Productions, and was signed for the 2012 Khiladi 786 but later dropped out, and was replaced by Asin.
Fakhri played a British war correspondent, Jaya Sahni, in Shoojit Sircar's political espionage thriller Madras Cafe. She made a special appearance in the item number "Dhating Naach" in Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, which was released on September 20, 2013. She has appeared in Main Tera Hero, a David Dhawan film, released on April 4, 2014.
